PT Overnight Recovery Assistant – Provo

As a substance use treatment facility, we are critical to the public health and safety of women and children throughout Utah. Status: Part Time
We want to add a human services specialist to our team who is:
-Highly motivated to learn and grow, mature and dependable
-Passionate about helping women (and their young children, ages 0-8) who are working to achieve a healthier life in recovery from substance use disorders
-Open to feedback, willing to try new things, and enjoy multi-tasking a variety on the job
-Able to model healthy human interaction, coach others on effective communication and able to stay calm in a crisis
-Compassionate but able to set firm limits and communicate in a calm, yet assertive manner
-Open to FEMALE applicants only due to the nature of licensing regulations and job duties.
-Must understand professional ethics and boundaries in the human service field
-Strong communication skills
-Must be able to attend a mandatory staff meeting and training the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month from 2-4 pm, no exceptions.
-Good basic computer skills, writing ability and good phone skills.
-Competent problem solving skills and conflict resolution abilities
-Ability to stay awake for entirety of shift
-Must follow through with assigned responsibilities
-Ability to create a safe environment during night time
-Competent in following daily schedule
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- This is a non-smoking worksite.
- Must have a flu shot before hire and COVID-19 vaccination when available.
- Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test.
- If in recovery, must have at least two years of sobriety.
- Must have own personal reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
The hours refer to our overnight shifts, which is from 10:30 pm to 8:30 am, Monday-Sunday. If interested in weekday shifts or weekend shifts, please refer to PT Recovery Assistant job posting or PT Recovery Assistant Weekend job posting.
Hours: 28-38 hours/week, may need to work some holidays, new staff are required to work various days and times at 4 different facilities for first 8 shifts for training purposes.
Wage: $12/hour, Non-exempt, 401(k) dollar for dollar match up to 5% after one year with vesting schedule, paid training, dental and vision benefits available, employee recognition and other incentives are available.
House of Hope is a non-profit organization providing addiction recovery and behavioral health services to help women rebuild their lives and strengthen their families at seven facilities in SLC and Provo.
