House of Hope is so excited to announce our new community partner PWIR (Professional Women Impacting Results). PWIR is Discover Card’s employee-led outreach program that focuses on giving women the confidence, knowledge, and tools to be financially successful. Members of PWIR hosted a workshop at House of Hope to teach our women the best ways to budget and plan for a brighter future. During the training, our women were taught the best practices for budgeting, how to make those hard financial choices and tips for saving.  PWIR was incredibly giving not only with their time but with their donations.  Not only did PWIR give in-kind donations such as diapers, clothing, formula, etc., but they also donated $10,000 to House of Hope!  Their generous donation of $10,000 will go towards purchasing laptops for the women to use as a resource for job searching and resume-building. The generous donation will also provide budgeting education materials, as well as financial planners for the women to use as a tool to budget.
