Helping Families Fight Substance Abuse

FAQ

Do I have a substance use disorder?

House of Hope provides assessments regardless if you receive treatment from our program. Please call 801-487-3276, TTY: 711, to schedule an assessment.

Why should I go to House of Hope?

The House of Hope program serves women, pregnant women, women working to reunite with their children, and mothers with up to three children (ages birth to 8). Children may reside with their mothers while they attend the House of Hope residential program. Children who are not in school, attend the Hope Center for Children while their mothers attend treatment.

The House of Hope's treatment philosophy is based on the biopsychosocial model, which views addiction as a disease that impacts the individual's biological, psychological, and social systems, as well as their way of thinking and lifestyle. Addiction is a chronic disease that changes the brain. Treatment addresses the many different life areas impacted by substance use.
